About Us

We are the Dr. Mona Jain Middle School (DMJ) chapter of the Technology Student Association (TSA). TSA is a national organization with over 250,000 middle and high school students that compete in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) events each year at district, regional, state, and national levels.

The 2022-2023 school year is DMJ TSA chapter’s 4th year in TSA. Our first year our chapter placed 4th in the state for middle schools. We have been steadily progressing each year since then, moving up to 3rd place in state during our 2nd year, and 2nd place in state last year. We were the top middle school in the county at the state level last year, and brought home 19 trophies. We were also the best in the state in TEAMS (Tests of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics, and Science).TSA TEAMS Best in State Middle School 2022

We have competed in two National TSA competitions. During the 2021-2022 school year we competed virtually in national competitions earning a 1st place in the middle school Mechanical Engineering event, and 2nd place in the middle school Microcontroller Design event. This summer we competed at the 2022 National TSA Conference in Dallas and earned a 1st place trophy in Construction Challenge, a 2nd place trophy in Inventions and Innovations, and a 3rd place trophy in Microcontroller Design, along with placing in the top ten in 9 events.
